The overseas tech site The Verge reports that the screen recording tool will finally be installed as standard in “Windows 11”.
Surprisingly, in order to record the screen on Windows 11, it was necessary to use “Xbox Game Bar” or third-party apps. The standard tool “Snipping Tool” might only take still screenshots.
But with the upgraded Snipping Tool for Windows 11 testers, new options let you record the entire screen, or just a snipped portion. It took four years for this screenshot tool to be able to record video. On the other hand, the function to cut and record a part of the area seems to be more flexible than the recording function of individual apps by Xbox Game Bar.
The new Snipping Tool is being tested on the Dev Channel and is expected to be released to the general public in the weeks and months to come. Still, it would be nice to be able to easily use screen recording in Windows 11.
