The Mavs are not doing very well, we were talking regarding it this morning. Well, to try to breathe some energy into Jason Kidd’s group, the Dallas franchise has decided to call on an ex-All-Star: Mr. Kemba Walker is back!
Kemba, holy Kemba, you’re back!
It’s been almost a year since we’ve seen Walker play in an official game, his last appearance dating back to mid-February with the Knicks. A symbol of the sad fall of the top scorer in the history of the Hornets, who has not been able to regain his starry form since leaving Charlotte. Slightly missed passage in Boston, timid attempt in New York being swung by the Thunder, Kemba was then transferred to Detroit during the last Draft… in complete anonymity.
So there had been little news for several weeks, except a potential buyout Pistons to set him free. And we were just wondering where was he going to land?
Released, Kemba Walker waited his turn and so it was Marc Stein of the New York Times who sent the good news of this beginning of the week for the NBA planet.
The Mavericks are nearing a deal to sign former All-Star guard Kemba Walker, league sources tell me.

Good or bad pick of the Mavs? One thing is certain, Luka Doncic needs some creative help, and bringing in a veteran Kemba Walker off the bench shouldn’t hurt. Great uncertainties regarding his health, his knees, and his defense of course, but when we see the poverty offered by Dallas at times when Luka is not a superhero and Spencer Dinwiddie comes back down to earth… we can say to ourselves that we have to nice try something!
At 31, Kemba Walker will try to revive following 3 very difficult years, dropping from 25 to 11 points on averageand from All-Star status to Christmas Rookie of the Month.
