The council said, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that it “held its regular session, in the presence of the council’s president, his deputy, and members of the council, to discuss a number of issues on its agenda.”
The statement added, “The council reviewed the work of the external offices, and the council recommended the head of the network to develop a mechanism to honor the network’s employees who have obtained master’s and doctoral degrees for the year 2022, and to honor employees who are retired for the years 2022 and 2023.”
According to the statement, the council decided to terminate the assignment of the network’s head, Nabil Muhammad Jassim, from his duties as chairman of the network, due to the council’s lack of conviction in his performance and for the administrative violations and the reasons mentioned in the attached report.
He also decided to assign Abdul Hakim Jassim Shamkhi with the duties of heading the Iraqi Media Network.
The council recommended the new head of the network to submit a detailed assessment of the network’s departments’ performance to the board of trustees within (30) days from the date of his commencement, and to address the reasons for dismissing the former head of the network within (30) days from the date of his start, “according to the statement.
