All the amateur actors and extras from the Saint-Aignan sur scène association gathered on Monday, July 29, at the Saint-Aignan beach island for one of the final rehearsals of Snow White, a show by Madeleine Raffi, directed by Jean-Claude Baudoin.

Jean-Claude Baudoin is a director of sound and light shows that have been created in the region since 1966. Originally from Nice, he studied decoration and directing at the Conservatoire national de Paris. A passionate opera enthusiast, he served as an assistant to the decorator Yves Bonnat. His talents are numerous. He became a collaborator of Pierre Hiegel at Radio Luxembourg for classical music broadcasts and created sets for over 150 lyrical works…

As a professional director, costume designer, and creator of soundtracks for his productions, he has gained unparalleled experience and expertise, earning recognition as one of the masters of the genre after nearly sixty years of work throughout France (in places like Luçay-le-Mâle, Saint-Aignan, Valençay, Blois, Loches, Autun, Ferrières-en-Gâtinais, Les Sables-d’Olonne, Milly-la-Forêt, Coucy-le-Château, Château de Versailles, and the parvis of Notre-Dame de Paris), with some ventures into Luxembourg and Quebec.

First Performance on August 23

Assisted by Marie-Chantal Couagnon, he shares his knowledge with enthusiasm and oversees the execution of the various scenes (15 in total) for the staging, costumes, and musical accompaniment of this nocturnal spectacle filled with unexpected encounters, surprises, and romantic or comedic elements that reimagine the story.

The first performance of the show is scheduled for August 23 at 10 p.m.
