Final statement of the cabinet meeting

The Council of Ministers met today, Wednesday, under the chairmanship of His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Republic.

The Council studied and approved the following two draft decrees:

A draft decree setting out procedures for submitting and examining applications for licenses to open pharmaceutical establishments for import and wholesale distribution

In application of the provisions of Article 41 of Law No. 2010-022 of February 22, 2010, as amended, related to pharmacy, the current draft decree aims to define the procedures for submitting and examining applications for licenses to open pharmaceutical establishments for import and wholesale distribution, as well as the elements that must be included in the license application.

A draft decree that includes the appointment of the chairman and members of the board of directors of the Mauritanian Agency for Food Safety.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad gave a statement on the international situation.

The Minister of Interior and Decentralization gave a statement on the situation at home.

The Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Energy presented a statement regarding the management of the accumulated mineral registry files.

This statement aims to address all pending mineral registry files, enabling the mineral registry to be opened to the public with complete transparency and fairness among the various dealers, without any discrimination, in accordance with the legal and regulatory provisions and arrangements in force, by the end of June 2023.

Inspector in charge of the agricultural sector: Ba Loti Mamadou, holder of a master’s degree in history and geography, educational advisor to the National Cell for Evaluation and Follow-up in the Ministry of National Education and Reform of the Education System previously.

– Inspector in charge of public and private technical education: Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Salek, holder of a master’s degree in technical education, director of the conference center in Atar, a former employee in the Ministry.
