Final of 3 Decades of Dash Basketball Event Produces Champions from Alumni of SMAN 3 Jakarta, Trisakti, and Unpad

The alumni team of SMAN 3 Jakarta emerged as champions along with alumni teams from the University of Indonesia, Padjajaran University and Trisakti University in the legendary basketball tournament, 3 Decades of Dash Basketball. Held since mid-July, the 3 Decades of Dash Basketball competition initiated by Dash Sports is the first tournament in Indonesia to introduce a competition format between high school and university alumni teams, as well as community teams and various age groups from junior high and high schools.

Continuing the legend of the competition, the event that was present as a grand reunion platform for the school basketball team received high appreciation and enthusiasm from various groups who were not only present to enliven the competition arena, but around more than 5000 visitors to the event also enlivened the stands at 3 locations, namely GOR Otista, Pulogadung and Bulungan Jaksel.

Raising the spirit of friendship and nostalgia, this event is recognized as having its own appeal for basketball lovers throughout the country, especially in the Jabodetabek area.

Dash Sports Event Management & Event Director 3 Decades of Dash Basketball, Andrie Rhesa Prastanto explained that 3 Decades of Dash Basketball which will be held starting July 13, 2024 will bring 20 teams from a total of 60 teams competing in 10 categories to the final round which will be held right on the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, namely on August 17 and 18, 2024 at the Bulungan Sports Arena, South Jakarta.

Meanwhile, CEO and founder of Dash Sports, Alit Aryaguna, congratulated the best teams, especially the alumni team of SMA 3 Jakarta, the alumni team of Trisakti University and Padjajaran Bandung, and SMAN 6 Jakarta, Damon Ballors, CGR and ROAR.

We also get support from sponsors for this one mission, hopefully it can be consistent and can produce athlete seeds from sports events initiated by Dash Sports,” he said as reported in an official statement, Monday (19/8).

3 Decades of Dash Basketball competes in 10 categories divided into High School Alumni in the Men 1993-2002 sub-category, University Alumni divided into Men 2003-2012 and 2013-2022 sub-categories and Open Community with iMen sub-categories aged 30+ and 40+, High School Student Men and Age Categories 10 Mix & 12 and 14 Putera and Exhibition, providing a total prize of more than IDR 100 million.

A participant from the SMA 34 alumni team from the 1993-2002 class and musician, Fadli Wardhana, said that the 3 Decade event had been a pioneer for basketball competitions.

The brand event is already good, so it must continue to be held in the future, don’t stop. It is very positive for the development of basketball in Indonesia, because it brings together basketball activists of various ages, not only nostalgia but also can be a means of cultivation. Collaboration with other strategic parties is needed, for example with IBL, Federation, big sponsors to make it even more solid.”

In line with Fadli, his teammate, alumni of SMA 34 and also artist and singer, Yosi “Project Pop” Mokalu said that the 3 Decade event proved the commitment to organizing good sporting events, while also showing the high enthusiasm of participants and spectators.

Therefore, he hopes that in the future the 3 Decades of Dash Basketball event will still take place, maintaining commitment and consistency, because so many sports activists still need a competition platform while establishing good relationships with friends.

“I fully support this and am ready to participate not only for the positive development of national basketball, but also the values ​​of sportsmanship from basketball that can inspire, respect the game. Hopefully the 3 Decades of Dash Basketball event will be even more prestigious!” concluded Yosi.
