2023-06-18 13:10:00

The most recent game in the franchise, Final Fantasy XVI is close to being available in its final version for players (who, in the meantime, enjoy the demo that is available on the PlayStation Store) and important information regarding this arrival is the availability already on first day of an update.

Classified as non-mandatory, this update confirmed by Square Enix, through a live made by developers, is considerably small (requires a download of approximately 300 MB) and is limited to correcting some points that were identified as necessary to adjust by the developer .

Considering the list of items mentioned in this correction patch (list below), it is possible to imagine that the performance issue noticed by some players in the beta version will be corrected, resulting in greater stability in the final version of the game.

In addition to performance-related complaints, the developers also addressed the excess of cutscenes where it was pointed out that this is a feature of the beginning of the game (i.e., over the course of the story they tend to reduce), the disabling of lip sync in Japanese (in this In this case, the suggestion was to play in English with subtitles to have synchronization done) and also, the search for adjusting the motion blur, either by disabling it completely or through a dedicated configuration.

In closing, additional options are expected to be made available, which might include camera movement speed and the ability to disable auto-following.

Check out the list of fixes that are included in this update:

  • Fixes a control flag issue that might make progress impossible under very specific circumstances
  • Fix an issue where the game might crash unexpectedly under very specific circumstances
  • Optimizes performance in multiple places
  • Fixes some minor text errors
