Rereading of the cult PlayStation game, Final Fantasy VII Remake seduced by its spectacular staging, its enriched universe, its modernized gameplay and its breathtaking atmosphere. Beautiful and exciting, this first part was not unanimous and several fans regretted the blur and the lack of detail of certain textures. With the arrival of the game on PC, modders have looked into this title and one of them, Altezein, has just released a texture pack that improves the rendering of the adventure.
To improve the rendering of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, this modder has indeed deployed a whole range of tools to increase the level of detail, while refining each texture. To reach a more convincing visual level than the original game, the interested party has thus reworked the trifle of… 20,000 textures! The pack is 54 GB in size (which says a lot regarding the effort required!) and includes environments, characters, enemies, weapons and even objects. Additionally, all textures below 2K resolution have been scaled up to twice their original size. By acting of their kind, Altezein has thus significantly improved the visual of this Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

In addition to these multiple improvements, the modder Altezein also took the opportunity to rework certain elements, such as skyboxes, in other words the decorations projected in the background giving the illusion of vast spaces. Among the other elements reviewed by the modder, we note certain key places in the game such as Aerith’s garden.
