The wait becomes unbearable, but rest assured: Final Fantasy XVI is on the verge of being released on the market. In the meantime, this nice publicity stunt from Square-Enix is getting people talking.
A work of art, we tell you
It’s not every day that a new Final Fantasy issue comes out on the market and each time, it’s the same story: everyone gets terribly excited and rightly so, the Square-Enix franchise being one of the most renowned sagas in the world, having largely contributed to the democratization of video games themselves.
In short, FF16 is about to be released in a handful of days and the Japanese publisher has just made a rather unique communication stunt: the sword of Clive (the game’s protagonist) has been replicated for real… and it’s currently on display at the Tower of London.
More precisely, Square-Enix has partnered with Royal Armouries, the famous British museum dedicated to weapons and armour. This takes place in the legendary White Tower, in the English capital, where the sword of Final Fantasy XVI will therefore appear for a month.
