TGS 2022: what is Square Enix’s schedule

Yesterday the Tokyo Game Show unveiled the schedule of the various conferences it was going to host in mid-September. A schedule that more or less forced the publishers present to share in detail what they had planned for the Japanese video game fair. For example, it was Xbox via its Microsoft conference that mentioned presenting a conference “oriented for Japanese audiences“: implied, we should not expect new announcements or the big blockbusters expected by the Western market. Today, it’s Square Enix’s turn to detail its plans for the TGS:

Final Fantasy: exclusive announcements?

Beyond the above events which will be broadcast on their Youtube channel and their Twitch channel, some titles will be the subject of a trailer broadcast in the Mega Theater. Those who are concerned ? Mainly the most anticipated games from the Japanese studio. Note the presence of a trailer for Final Fantasy VII : Rebirth, Final Fantasy 16, Final Fantasy VII : Ever Crisis or Crisis Core : Final Fantasy VII Reunion. In addition to Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest X Online and Offline will also have a trailer broadcast at Mega Theater.

Be careful however: nothing indicates that the trailers of the games mentioned above are of the order of a world first. It could very well be trailers that have already aired before (like those for the special event around the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7) or trailers that Square Enix has already chosen to publish before the TGS. In any case, we will have to wait until September 15 and the launch of the event to find out more about this case.
