Running at a slow pace behind competitors like Adobe, Apple will soon add more artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to Final Cut Proits proprietary video editing app for macOS and iPadOS.
The news was announced by Apple itself, in a very discreet way, in the presentation video of the new Mac mini (with the M4/M4 Pro chips), which was revealed today by the company through a press release.

When talking about the computer’s advantages over its competitors and previous versions for tasks such as video editing, the product manager Shloka Kini mentioned an upcoming version of the editor.
According to her, the future version will allow use AI to apply effects to videos instantly, as well as to generate automatic transcriptswhich can be added to the video as subtitles.
The video briefly shows how the last feature works, which will be included in the app’s effects menu, which already has, among other things, options to improve the audio, light and color of a video being edited.
The new feature, however, is not presented as part of Apple Intelligence — which, as speculated AppleInsiderit may be because it is an exclusive feature of an app and not the entire system.
