Shame all the way
Sofia Wistam is back with a new season of the popular reality show “Naked Attraction” on Kanal 5 and on Max. Filmtop’s reality expert Sofie Landgren has seen the first episode of the season and thinks there are better programs to spend her time on.

So is the first episode of “Naked Attraction” (season 2)
After a wait in almost two years, the time has come for the premiere of the second season of Naked Attraction Sweden led by our beloved presenter Sofia Wistam. For those who have not seen this well-discussed reality show, it is, like many other shows, about finding love. But, with a real twist, it is the participants’ genitals that are introduced first. During the premiere we get to meet Linda44 years old, who does not think that age or gender play any role in choosing a partner. Linda is looking for a spontaneous, fun person to sing karaoke with.

40 minutes with a pillow
Five brave singles have applied to the program and Linda first of all gets to get to know their genitals. Sofia Wistam and Linda talks freely and openly about every part, and this is it, at least I can’t quite manage. I’m not one of the genteel group of people, and yes, love in all its glory, but I can’t handle having other people’s genitalia displayed in front of me like this. As a viewer, you get to know a little too many details about the participants’ personal sexual preferences, information I could have done without. As a bonus, you also get to learn a thing or two about, for example, foot fetishes and the function of nipples in animated features with Sofia as the narrator. Feature that definitely teaches interesting facts, but feels like a way to try to take the edge off all the uncomfortable nudity in the studio.
It’s not just the nudity that makes me uncomfortable, but also the participants’ conversations, which stand out like a sketch about how stiff Swedes can be in social contexts. Like when you bump into a neighbor in the stairwell or in an elevator, that tiring chatter about the weather for lack of other topics of conversation. How it goes for Linda and her final choice of date we leave unsaid, but I can say that I had to sit with the shame pillow in the front during the entire program – even the date…
I am genuine impressed by all the participants who dare to put themselves forward in a program format like this as I personally wouldn’t have done it for all the money in the world, and Sofia Wistam absolutely excels in his role as presenter, but despite these factors I will not watch another second of it Naked Attraction and I recommend everyone who is like-minded to focus on another of the autumn’s Swedish reality series.
If, despite this, you feel that you want to give the season a chance, it premieres on Kanal 5 and on Max Tuesday, August 13 at 10 p.m.
