After Depp’s earlier affair Ellen Barkin (68) had a say and accused the well-known actor of control addiction and alcohol abuse, among other things, numerous other stars have now also spoken out.

Along with Bloom and Knightley, Depp formed the iconic film trio of Captain Jack Sparrow, William Turner and Elizabeth Swann.

As the New York Post reported, both celebrities were very positive towards their former colleagues. “I got to work with one of my heroes, which was really inspiring for me at this point in my career,” Bloom said, emphasizing how much fun he had on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean.

“He’s just great. It’s really weird because he’s a big Hollywood star, but he’s such a nice guy,” Knightley said of the Fairfax, Virginia trial. “He’s one of the few actors right now who would take these huge risks, and it was a risk,” the actress said of Depp’s character. “He has the guts to play a role like that and I think that’s brilliant.”

Kevin McNally (66), der in “Pirates of the Caribbean” who played First Mate Joshamee Gibbs, said: “I never saw a hint of the dark side in Johnny. I see a great humanitarian and a wonderful human being. I see no reason why he shouldn’t come back and play Jack Sparrow.”

Winona Ryder (50), with whom Johnny Depp had a relationship following working in the tragic comedy “Edward Scissorhands” (1990), expressed her surprise at the allegations in 2016.

“He was never like that with me. Never abusive at all. I just know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very protective of the people he loves,” the 50-year-old said.

Angelina Jolie (46) also raved regarding her time with Johnny Depp in 2010 when the two were in front of the camera for the film “The Tourist”.

“He’s just such a nice guy. He’s so funny and so fun to hang out with. At the same time, he’s a really experimental artist who gives a lot on set and is very kind to his fellow actors,” Jolie said.

Eva Green (41), Penélope Cruz (48) and Kaya Scodelario (30), who were also part of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, were also positive. The latter, for example, praised how much her Depp helped with the shooting.

“We just lay on a piece of green screen and had to pretend to fall. I didn’t know what the hell I was going to do and I looked over at him and as soon as they said ‘action’ he was just totally engaged – it he didn’t care if it made him look silly or weird or weird,” the performer said in 2017. “It inspired me to let go of myself, to lose my mind and to fit into my character,” says Scodelario.
