Porto crowned the Portuguese Cup, defeating Tondela 3-1 at the National Stadium in Oeiras in the final of the competition.
Porto’s goals scored: Mehdi Tarmi on two occasions, and Vitina. Borges scored Tondela’s only goal.
Porto raises its tally to 18 Portuguese Cup titles, in second place behind Benfica, who has 26 titles.
Porto ended the partnership with Sporting Lisbon, who won 17 titles in the competition.

While Tondela played the first final in his history in the cup, in the same season in which he was relegated from the first division by occupying 17th place – penultimate – in the Portuguese league.
The two teams will meet once more in the Portuguese Super Cup at the end of next July.
Iranian style
Porto advanced through the Iranian Mehdi Taremi from a penalty kick in the 22nd minute.
Porto doubled the score in the 52nd minute through Vitina, following defensive confusion.
Tarmi had the opportunity to score the third in the 66th minute through a penalty kick, but he missed it following it rebounded from the post.
The match ignited in the 73rd minute when Tondela reduced the difference with Borges with a powerful header.
But Tarmi returned one minute later and killed the match with a third goal, raising his score to 26 goals in various competitions this season.
