The Oman national team defeated its Somali counterpart 2-0 in the second round of the fourth group competitions of the Arab U-20 Cup.
Sultan Al-Marzouq scored Oman’s first goal in the 21st minute, while Ali Al Balushi added the second goal in stoppage time for the match.
Oman scored the first 3 points, while Somalia’s balance remained negative without points.
Oman is second in the group behind Egypt, which also has the three points.

Egypt beat Oman 1-0 in the first round to lead the group currently in direct confrontations.
Egypt will meet Somalia in the last round on Wednesday, while Oman finished its matches in the first round.
Egypt’s position
The winners of the six groups, as well as the two best second-placed teams, advance to the quarter-finals.
The victory will be more than enough for Egypt to top its group with 6 points and pass to the second round without counting.
It is also enough for Egypt to draw and reach 4 points, and to outperform Oman, which has 3 points.
But if Egypt loses, the group will witness huge complications, as the goal difference between the three teams will be resorted to, following they are all tied on points.
Egypt currently has a goal difference of +1, which is the same as Oman’s goal difference, while the goal difference of Somalia is -2.
Egypt’s loss with the lowest result will make its goal difference 0, and thus Oman jumped to the top, and then Egypt will wait for the results of the other groups.

The Libyan national team defeated its Lebanese counterpart 2-0 in the city of Abha in the third group competitions.
Mohamed Adel and Abdel Maysir Bashina scored Libya’s two goals in its first match in the tournament.
Thus, Lebanon officially bid farewell to the competitions, as it had lost in the first round once morest Algeria by two goals to one
Libya has 3 points equally with Algeria, and the two teams meet in the third round to determine the leader and the direct qualification card.
Libya is enough to draw, as it has a goal difference of +2, compared to +1 for Algeria.
