“Defeating Liang/Wang at home is a very meaningful victory because it can increase our motivation and confidence in this first Super 1000 level tournament,” he added.

Fikri/Daniel admitted that Liang/Wang played very well and were not easy to beat. Because, Fikri/Daniel are a new pair while the host pair are number one in the world.

In the critical points of the third game, Fikri/Daniel were able to play more daringly and more recklessly so that the opponent was constantly under pressure. Their communication was also solid so that all game plans could be executed well.
