figures down from 2019

The recovery of airport activity is confirmed despite figures below 2019

The easing of transport restrictions, in particular the lifting of compelling reasons at the start of the second quarter, accelerated the recovery outlined from March. Since the beginning of the year, air traffic has increased markedly since as of June 30, 2022, it has returned to 88% of its pre-crisis level, compared to only 66% in the first quarter. However, when we compare the figures obtained this semester with those of 2019 in the same period, in 2022 the number of passengers excluding transit amounts to 404,20,000 compared to 547,000 three years ago.

Encouraging results for the different types of traffic

As regards traffic to mainland France, it reached 83% of its pre-crisis level. The same goes for the regional network where it is back to 77% of its pre-Covid traffic level.

For traffic with the USA and Canada, it is up sharply, 98% from the 2019 level for the USA and an increase of 36% for the connection to Montreal. In the Caribbean, the recovery is still uncertain. Passenger numbers for lines to the Caribbean islands, excluding the French West Indies, are still very low.
