Fighting Heracles Almelo must leave the points to PSV

Heracles Almelo ended the first home match of this season with a 1-3 defeat against PSV. After a 1-0 lead, the visitors came back to 1-3.

For Heracles Almelo, the match against PSV meant the first match on natural grass after a long period of artificial grass in the Asito stadium. Brian de Keersmaecker stepped up to the ball and shot convincingly into the top right corner: 1-0!

PSV increasingly pressed during the first half, but due to good defensive work by Heracles Almelo, the score remained 1-0 for a long time. In the 37th minute, Mario Engels was passed and shot the ball into the net, unfortunately this goal was disallowed for offside.

Three goals conceded in the second half

Shortly after, PSV immediately got another good chance via Noa Lang, he hit the inside of the post. A little later, it was Johan Bakayoko who came in and placed the ball in the near corner. In the final phase, Engels had another good chance. He chipped the ball over Benitez and seemed to make it 2-2. Unfortunately, Engels’ second goal this afternoon was also disallowed due to offside.
