Over there law of July 30, 2022 putting an end to the exceptional regimes created to fight once morest the epidemic linked to Covid-19the legislator wished to make several changes to common law aimed at standardizing the management of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Some of these changes come into effect from the end of January 2023.
- As of February 1, 2023, the use of “SI-DEP” information systemallowing the delivery of the results of the tests carried out by all the laboratories and structures authorized to carry out the diagnosis of Covid-19, will be subject to the prior collection of consent of the persons concerned, to the sharing of their personal data for this purpose. In accordance with the will of the legislator, the “SI-DEP” information system will be kept in operation until June 30, 2023.
- As of January 31, 2023, it will be end to the Health Insurance “Contact Covid” teleservice, which allowed the identification and care of people sick with Covid-19 and contact cases. This shutdown, desired by the legislator for the sake of standardizing tools for managing the Covid-19 epidemic, involves in fact the end of the derogatory system for covering sick leave linked to Covid-19. It also induces the suspension of the possibilities of contact tracing by Health Insurance to search for contact cases in the entourage of people positive for Covid-19.
- Finally, as of February 1, 2023, in accordance with the recommendations of the High Council for Public Health (HCSP), thesystematic isolation for people who have tested positive for Covid-19 and the completion of a screening test on the second day of notification of contact status for asymptomatic contact persons will no longer be required. On the other hand, as with any disease with an acute respiratory infection, it remains strongly recommended for people who test positive for Covid-19, as well as for people who have been exposed to a contagious person and are likely to develop the disease, to respect barrier gesturesof get tested and D’avoid contact with fragile people.
These developments occur in a favorable epidemic context, marked by very low viral circulation in mainland France and overseas. They are also a continuation of similar strategies observed in all European countries. These developments aim in fine to set up a comprehensive strategy for the control of acute winter respiratory infections (Covid-19, flu, bronchiolitis), which will be fully deployed for the next 2023-2024 season.
