Riyadh: The cabinet has given permission to grant free Saudi visa to football enthusiasts who have the ‘Hayya Card’ which is an entry pass for the FIFA World Cup 2022. The meeting approved the decision to bear the e-service costs of Visa. Haya Card is a digital personal document (Fan ID) issued to football fans who come to watch FIFA World Cup matches. Its validity period is from November 1 to January 23, 2023.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had earlier announced that those who hold it will be given a free visa to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 60 days and come and go as they please during this World Cup season. A cabinet meeting presided over by Ruler King Salman at the Al Salam Palace in Jeddah last Sunday gave permission for the country to bear the cost of electronic visas that are granted online. Visa holders can enter Saudi Arabia 10 days before the start of the World Cup.

The Cabinet reviewed the outcomes of the 33rd OPEC-Non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting. Saudi’s approach will ensure the balance and stability of the global oil market. The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding reached with Egypt’s investigative agency on investigations related to money laundering and other financial crimes. It was agreed in the meeting to create multi-faceted coordination among various ministry officials in responding to global issues and challenges. The Cabinet approved the establishment of the Regional Office of the International Airport Council of Asia Pacific in Riyadh.
