Doha: Qatar is gearing up for the 100-day countdown celebrations of the FIFA World Cup. The countdown celebration will be held from 11th to 13th of this month. The celebrations will be held in the shopping malls of the country.
Along with the 100-day countdown celebrations, there is also a chance to win tickets to the opening match of the World Cup. World Cup regional organizers Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy are offering a chance to win tickets (Category-1) for the opening match between Qatar and Ecuador at the Al Bait Stadium. This opportunity is for residents of Qatar only. The festivities organized at the malls will include fun games, various events, live performances and fans can test their footballing skills.

Festivities will be held from 11-13 at Doha Festival City from 1pm-10pm, at Place Windom from 12-10pm and at Mall of Qatar from 12-13 from 12pm-10pm. Participants of the 100-day countdown celebrations should take pictures of themselves participating in the celebrations and post them on social media with the hashtag ‘100 days to go’.
Meanwhile, if you have purchased tickets to watch the FIFA World Cup Qatar match but are unable to watch the match for any reason, you can now sell your tickets through FIFA’s official ticket re-sale platform.
The deadline for selling pre-purchased tickets is the 16th of this month. The opportunity for resale is 12 noon Doha local time on the 16th. FIFA officials have also stated that the re-sale platform will be opened once more when the tournament approaches. A certain amount will be refunded only if the ticket is sold through the re-sale platform.

Tickets submitted on the re-sale platform are not guaranteed to be sold. The FIFA ticketing authorities have full discretion over the tickets submitted for sale. The original owner of the ticket can sell any number of tickets through the re-sale platform. If the original owner wishes to sell his own ticket as well, he must submit all other tickets purchased by him for the same match.
Officials have also informed that FIFA is not responsible for the costs incurred if the ticket sale on the re-sale platform is not successful or if the ticket is not withdrawn before the specified time of the match.
