A $4 million game! This is the financial challenge of the round of 16 of the World Cup which will oppose Switzerland to Portugal on Tuesday (to be followed from 8 p.m. on RTS 2).
Thanks to the qualification for the round of 16, the Swiss Football Association (ASF) is already guaranteed to receive an amount of 13 million dollars (12.17 million francs) from FIFA.
It should be noted that the bonuses paid by FIFA for this World Cup amount to 440 million dollars (411.81 million francs) in total. The endowment for Switzerland, if it eliminates Portugal, will be 17 million dollars (15.91 million francs).
