The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) believes that the Atlas Lions were deprived of “two indisputable penalties” during the semi-final of the World Cup lost once morest France (2-0). She therefore announced that she had seized the “competent body” to challenge the arbitration.
“The FRMF has sent a letter to the competent body in which it returns to the arbitration situations which deprived the Moroccan selection of two indisputable penalties in the opinion of several arbitration specialists.“, indicates the Moroccan Federation.
As a reminder, during the World Cup, the French Federation (FFF) had already seized – in vain – the FIFA Disciplinary Committee to protest once morest the cancellation of the equalizing goal scored at the very end of the match by Antoine Griezmann once morest Tunisia and invalidated by VAR following the final whistle.
An imperfect arbitration
During the semi-final Morocco-France, the only warning of the meeting addressed to the Moroccan Boufal on a contact in the surface with the French Théo Hernandez appeared severe. On another action, the Moroccan players complained to the referee that Tchouaméni had surrounded En-Nesery in the area, without result.
The FRMF therefore strongly protests once morest the performance of referee César Arturo Ramos during this meeting and is surprised “that the Video Assistance to Arbitration (VAR) system did not react to these arbitration situations“.
The Moroccan federation adds that it “will spare no effort to defend and preserve the rights of national teams by advocating fairness in arbitration and by denouncing these arbitration decisions taken duringof this semi-final.
