La FIFA last night announced its calendar of activities, which includes the 2026 and 2030 World Cups, two editions of the Copa América in 2024 and 2028, the dates of friendlies and the so-called “FIFA dates”, in which the clubs are obliged to give up the players summoned to the selected ones.
The next edition of the Copa América, which will be in the United States, will last a month between June 14 and July 14, 2024, the same period in which the Euro Cup will take place, which will be held in Germany.
FIFA did not include in the calendar the changes it recently announced regarding the Club World Cup, which will have a four-year edition starting in 2025, as well as a new format for the annual dispute. The last edition in the current format will be between December 12 and 22 of this year, in Saudi Arabia.
The FIFA calendar until 2030 is as follows:
+ 2023: June 12 to 20, Friendly Games. September 4 to 12-Eliminatorias. October 9 to 17- Qualifiers. November 13 to 21-Eliminatorias.
+ 2024: March 18 to 26-Friendlies. June 3 to 11-Friendlies. June 14 to July 14- Copa América and Eurocopa. September 2 to 10-Eliminatorias. October 7-15 and December 11-19-Preliminaries
+ 2025: March 17 to 25, June 2 to 10 and September 1 to 9-Qualifiers. October 6 to 14 and November 10 to 18- Friendly
+ 2026: March 23 to 31 and June 1 to 9-Friendlies. June/July-World Cup (opening to be confirmed, end on July 19). September 21 to October 6 and November 9 to 17-FIFA Date
+ 2027: March 22 to 30, June 7 to 15, September 20 to October 5 and November 8 to 16-FIFA Date
+ 2028: March 20 to 28 and May 29 to June 6-FIFA Date. June/July-Copa América and Eurocopa. September 18 to October 3 and November 13 to 21-FIFA Date.
+ 2029: March 19 to 27, June 4 to 12, September 29 to October 9 and November 12 to 20-FIFA Date
+ 2030: March 18 to 26 and June 3 to 11-FIFA Date. June/July-World Cup. September 23 to October 8 and November 11 to 19-FIFA Date
