Fiat 500X Hybrid and Type Hybrid. They arrive to complete the electrification of the range

To complete the electrification of the range, Fiat has just unveiled the new 500X Hybrid and Tipo Hybrid. This path began with 500 Hybrid and the Panda Hybrid, and was continued by the new 500 and the electric-powered Ulysse. Now, to meet the goal of offering at least one low-emission version for each model, these versions arrive with the new 48-volt Hybrid engine.

The leading role of these versions lies in the combination of the latest generation FireFly engine, a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo gasoline that can develop up to 130 hp (97 kW) with a torque of 240 Nm, with a 48-volt electric motor and 15 kW, associated with a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

This is the first Fiat Hybrid to use the electric motor by completely disconnecting the petrol engine, which can remain idle up to 47% of the time according to the total WLTP cycle. With this, the new 48-volt Hybrid is a gasoline engine that consumes less than a diesel in the urban cycle.

Fiat 500X Hybrid

Designed for the younger public, it is the ideal complement to the range of a model that, since its launch in 2014, has recently exceeded 750,000 registrations.

Its exterior image has been renewed with the launch of the Model Year 2022: it has a new “500” logo, while the “Fiat” inscription is included on the rear. Available in Cult, Club, Cross and Sport trim levels, and with two body variants (saloon and soft-top Dolcevita), the 500X range includes the 120 hp 1.0 GSE T3 and the 130 hp 1.6 MultiJet II engines. Now, this efficient Hybrid version joins.

Fiat Tipo Hybrid

Ideal for families looking for a versatile and functional car. According to the brand, “it is a vehicle to go anywhere, from the urban center to trips outside the city; a practical and spacious vehicle that respects the environment.” Available in four trim levels (Type, City Life, City Cross and Cross), the range of engines is wide: in addition to the Hybrid version, it includes a 100 hp 1.0 T3 petrol, a 95 hp 1.3 SDE diesel and the top-of-the-range 130 hp 1.6 diesel.

Orders for the Fiat 500X Hybrid and Type Hybrid open this February for the main European markets, although they will not reach dealers until April.
