FGR obtains arrest warrant against Facundo Rosas

Who is Facundo Rosas Rosas?

Facundo Rosas Rosas, originally from Puebla, is a graduate of the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) and has a master’s degree in Administration from the Universidad del Valle de México. He began his career in 1989 at the Center for Investigation and National Security (Cisen) where he worked for a decade.

In 1999 he became General Director of Terrorism of the Federal Preventive Police; from 2001 to 2007 he was at the Federal Investigation Agency (AFI) as director of Tactical Analysis.

Between February and December 2008, he was Undersecretary of Strategy and Police Intelligence of the Federal Public Security Secretariat; From December 2008 to June 14, 2009, he held the position of Undersecretary for Prevention, Linkage and Human Rights in the Federal Public Security Secretariat.

In 2012 he was accused of the violent eviction on the Autopista del Sol, in Chilpancingo, in which two normalistas from Ayotzinapa and the owner of a gas station in the area died.
