Concert for the 9th Global Forum for the Alliance of Civilizations. “We have decided to create an Alliance of Civilizations Chair at the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF)”, announced Miguel Angel Moratinos.
The High Representative of UNAOC affirmed that “this Chair was proposed by the President of UEMF, Pr Mostapha Bousmina, and UNAOC accepted this proposal”. Especially given the great success of the Youth Forum which brought together more than 300 students from different countries and particularly from Africa. Moratinos, who co-chaired a press conference at the end of the forum, stressed that “this 9th edition is the most successful of all the others”.
“Success from start to finish… HM the King’s message is considered a roadmap for the next elections, especially the one to be held in Equatorial Guinea in 2023 where we will assess what we have sown in Fez” , adds the former head of Spanish diplomacy. It should be noted that the declaration of Fez takes up a good part of the royal letter read at the opening of the Forum. In the opinion of Nasser Bourita, the success was there thanks to the quality of the participants and the debates and reflections initiated in Fez.
In fact, nearly 1,500 participants attended this 9th edition, the first held on African soil. There are more than 44 ministerial delegations, 80 diplomatic delegations, religious leaders, sages and the media.
Unanimous, the participants applauded the success of this meeting showing that Fez, breeding ground of knowledge and cradle of civilizations, was able to give a message of peace during these troubled times marked by war and the rise of extremism.
