Festival-goers evacuated after a crowd movement at Les Ardentes

The Les Ardentes festival has been in full swing since Thursday and until the end of the weekend in Rocourt. After two years of absence following the Covid, many festival-goers were expected.

During the concert of the rapper PLK, a dense and compact crowd had gathered this Friday at the start of the evening. Our Sudinfo colleagues report that a major crowd movement took place due to jostling and the excessive number of people present in front of the stage.

Several people became unwell and the emergency services had to take care of around sixty festival-goers. The rapper would have interrupted his concert for a few minutes to facilitate the evacuation.

Earlier in the day, during the SCH concert, a so-called “crash” barrier, however intended for this purpose, gave way under the pressure of festival-goers according to the Future. Security immediately reacted to contain the crowd and thus prevent people from falling and being trampled.

Fortunately, in both cases, no serious injuries are to be deplored.
