Festival Del Globo (International Balloon Festival) 2024 in Mexico City

Festival Del Globo or the International Balloon Festival is one of the largest hot air balloon festivals in Latin America. Held at the Parque Metropolitano de León in the city of León (Guanajuato), it is considered the largest air station festival in the world.

International Hot Air Balloon Festival Program

In addition to the hot air balloons, the International Hot Air Balloon Festival offers various cantoya shows, a light and music show, workshops and other related events. Highlights of the festival include the hot air balloon takeoffs, which start very early, around 6:30 am. However, the incredible sight of 200 hot air balloons in the air is worth sacrificing your sleep. The magical nights are another highlight, when dozens of magnificent hot air balloons light up the night. The incredible show with light and music starts at 7 pm.

The Festival Del Globo 2024 stage will welcome J Balvin on November 15, Marshmello on November 16 and Julion Alvarez on November 17.

Billets

A four-day pass to Festival Del Globo costs $1,620. Guests can also purchase a day pass for $660, an evening pass for $485 and a VIP pass for $2,890 per day.

History of the festival

The festival’s journey began in 2002 when the first 25 hot air balloons flew high into the sky, painting it with colors. By 2004, there were already 40 balloons, and in 2011, Bobby Bradley, the youngest hot air balloon pilot in the world, participated in the Festival Del Globo. Every year, something really cool happens during this event, making it one of the most popular festivals in Latin America.
