“First of all, we want to thank you for the countless expressions of affection and support that you are sending to Fer. Everyone and especially him and his family are eternally grateful. “Fer is going through a health problem that requires permanent medical attention and we are making a great effort together, so that he has the best at his disposal,” the band said in an Instagram post a week ago.

Then, they added: “We want to tell you that we are organizing a date that will bring together great artists and friends of Fer, who have selflessly offered to participate. We will soon send you all the corresponding information.”

“Composer, Guitarist, Singer of Heroic Survivors and Good Guy,” the musician defined himself on his Instagram account. The band is considered one of the fundamentals of the music of our country and of Argentine rock with more than 35 years of career.

In dialogue with Teleshow, Sebastián Bereciartua, producer of Guerrero de la luz, the singer’s latest album that will be released in a few days, on April 8, spoke, expressing his sadness at the news and highlighting his figure. “It is a very sad day. I’ve known him for many years following having been the opening act for Heroicos… since I was very young. We did things during a pandemic and, above all, last year when we were recording his latest album. On April 8 it will be on all platforms,” he said, regarding the production under the independent label Delta Discos that has collaborations with Ariel Herrera, Adrián Herrera and Pucho Led from Blues Motel, Nico Bereciartua, Sebastian Padovani, Luciano Candenas and María Beep.

“I was able to say goodbye to him with that finished work in the air and visible to everyone so they might hear it. We had incredible moments. He was a spectacular composer, a great singer and a super humble, loving and grateful person. Until the last moment he was in a positive spirit, thinking regarding moving forward. His body told him enough. He was suffering last time and maybe it’s for the better. He had liver failure problems and his condition worsened. His condition worsened and he did not resist,” he said.

“This latest album that is regarding to be released is a glory. He deserves everything nice. He is a guy who influenced many, he started Blues Motel, a band of which I am the manager. He was born going to see him, the guys from Blues Motel who are turning 35 started studying guitar with him. To me, to my cousin Nicolás Bereciartua and to a number of musicians and bands who were influenced by him and the music he made. He was very sanguine. His shows were very exciting and in recent times, he had achieved a skill in composing and singing that was remarkable. I knew him, but when we made the album last year, I was surprised by the clarity with which he came to record with everything in his head,” he expressed, regarding his contributions and legacy.

Heroic Survivors, through the networks, said goodbye to the musician and told where his remains will be buried. “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Fer Pita. He passed away today peacefully surrounded by his family and closest friends. Fer was the founder of Heroicos Sobrevivientes and the only one of his kind” “Tomorrow we will be saying goodbye to him from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Cochería Aguirre SRL. Avenida Sir Alexander Fleming 1717, Martínez, province of Buenos Aires. Eternal glory,” they wrote.
