Fenerbahçe objected on Tuesday to the transfer of its player Samet Akaydin to the Disciplinary Committee of the Turkish Football Federation for spitting on Mahmoud Hasan “Trezeguet” while the latter was prostrating on the field following scoring a goal in the match that his team Trabzonspor lost in the Turkish Football League, considering that this is a slander from before the public.

Pictures and video clips on social media showed Akaidin spitting towards Trezeguet, who scored his team’s only goal ten minutes from the end, in the match that ended with Fenerbahce’s 3-1 victory last Thursday.

Fenerbahce said in a statement on Tuesday via “Twitter”: The legal decision of the Turkish Football Federation cannot be accepted. It is a historic event that the Turkish Federation decided to refer our player Samet Akaydin to the Disciplinary Committee… It was clearly proven that he did nothing by going back to the video footage. This is scandalous.

And he continued: This incident was not included in the report of the referee of the match, and it is a slander by the public, but it clarifies the view of the Turkish Football Association towards Fenerbahce. The club calls on every official working under the umbrella of the Turkish Federation, especially in the Disciplinary Committee, which signed this decision, to resolve the matter immediately. .

Akaydin denied committing this alleged act, and wrote on Twitter earlier: I condemn the immoral allegations by manipulating my behavior, and this is behavior that happens with athletes.

Trabzon occupies sixth place in the league and has 51 points, and Fenerbahce comes in second place, five points away from leaders Galatasaray.
