On Sunday, a woman was found dead in her apartment in Bergdietikon AG. The police arrested a man. The public prosecutor assumes a homicide.

The family mourns on social media: “Today we lost our daughter and the children lost their beloved mother. May the memory of you be forever », it says in a Facebook post, among other things. And the victim’s brother writes: “May your soul rest in peace, sister.”
According to the Aargau cantonal police, the emergency call center received a report on Sunday morning that a woman in Bergdietikon was locked in her bathroom and did not respond to calls from family members. The rescue workers who arrived quickly might have broken open the door quickly, but only found the 41-year-old woman in the room behind dead dead.
Circumstances and background unclear
The investigations that were then initiated revealed a lack of clarity regarding the situation found. An autopsy was therefore ordered on the body. The traces and the results of the forensic examination indicate an external influence.
As a result of the results of the investigation, a 47-year-old Swiss from the environment of the deceased was arrested. The public prosecutor’s office has opened criminal proceedings for intentional killing and has applied to the compulsory measures court for pre-trial detention. It is the presumption of innocence.
