Aston Martin F1 has announced the appointment of reserve driver Felipe Dolgovic to replace Lance Stroll, who has been forced to miss F1 pre-season testing due to injury. Lance Stroll has been injured in an accident during training and will be unable to participate in the three days of testing at the Bahrain International Circuit. Aston Martin said Stroll’s accident was “minor” and was expected to “recover quickly”.
But for the test, team newcomer Fernando Alonso will share track time with Aston Martin F1 reserve driver and 2022 F2 champion Felipe Drugovic on Thursday. Felipe Dolgovic will drive the AMR23 on Thursday morning and Fernando Alonso in the followingnoon, with the rest of the schedule to be announced at a later date. Meanwhile, Williams has announced that Alex Albon will start testing on Thursday morning, with rookie Logan Sargento taking charge from the followingnoon through Friday, before handing over to Albon on Saturday.
