It was with courage and determination that suited him that Féfé Onanga went to the main courtyard of the former district chief Kebilianou, located at the new transfo road in the 3e district of the commune of Port-Gentil. There, with a population of nearly 500 people, he discussed in particular the referendum calling on the population to vote massively for an overwhelming yes.

“Our caravan for the yes vote in the next referendum continues. And now we had to attack another district of Port-Gentil so that this caravan has a positive impact.”said Féfé Onanga, leader of the Féfé Onanga group.

This awareness and mobilisation caravan for a massive yes to the next referendum, crisscrossed all the districts of the 2e district with the aim of encouraging as many people as possible to follow the ambitions set out by the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI).

So, in this area perceived as hostile to any movement linked to political activism, Féfé Onanga accompanied by his group was able to discuss frankly with a youth eager for the development of their area and the change of mentality. With them, they fraternally discussed issues related to insecurity, unemployment, consumption and sale of narcotics and many others. The objective being to raise awareness among this layer of the population which represents more than 80% of the inhabitants in Gabon.

“We ask the president to help us help him. The populations we are going to live in insecurity that is taking on worrying proportions. The bandits are no longer afraid to operate openly from 5 p.m.” deplores the secretary general of the Féfé Onanga group Delphin Mboumba who thinks that “it is a challenge to the new transitional authorities. A population that lives in insecurity is a wounded population. Let the military tackle the problem in its entirety by cracking down. Drug dealers must be eradicated, everyone knows where they are,” he suggests.

On the other hand, the Féfé Onanga group in its political and social dynamics, has given itself until the end of August to propagate the objectives of its mission. Its objective; to raise awareness among more than 10,000 people in this district.
