Compromise result in the interests of everyone involved / Austria’s EEI remains competitive / Over 60,000 attractive jobs remain secure

Vienna (OTS) In the third round of negotiations on the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry, which took place today, the employer side was able to agree on a justifiable solution with the employee representatives.

The actual and KV wages and salaries will increase by 9.9% as of May 1, 2023, but at least by EUR 325 per month. Apprentices receive a plus of 10.5%. The increases affect over 60,000 employees.

“After long and fair negotiations with the employee representatives, we were able to negotiate a compromise for everyone involved,” comments Wolfgang Hesoun, FEEI chairman and chief negotiator on the employers’ side.

“With this result,” Hesoun continued, “Austria will continue to play a strong role as a competitive location in the electrical and electronics industry in the future. For more than 60,000 employees in the sector, the result also means a secure and attractive job!”
