Parkhaus Elbl wins EL-MO Award for innovative design of a parking garage in Vienna.

Vienna (OTS) – As part of this year’s EL-MOTION, one of the leading Austrian specialist congresses on the subject of electromobility, the Elbl car park was presented with the coveted EL-MO Award. The company received the award for the innovative design of a public parking garage in Vienna’s city center “Alte Post”. The Austrian Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler presented the award to the Managing Director of Parkhaus Elbl GmbH, Mr. Michael Elbl.

Parkhaus Elbl GmbH was honored for its creative and sustainable solution for designing a public parking garage in downtown Vienna. The “Alte Post” parking garage now offers 150 parking spaces and has been transformed into a mobility hub and service center.

SKIDATA, the Austrian market leader for access solutions, equipped the garage with its modern parking management systems and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. In relation to the parking spaces, there is no garage with more charging options in the Vienna area. In addition to the technical innovations, the parking garage also offers numerous services such as e-car sharing, car cleaning and parking spaces for scooters and bicycles.

The jury of the EL-MO Awards particularly praised the holistic and sustainable mobility solution, which meets the needs of customers and can also be further developed in the future.

The technological realization of the charging infrastructure was implemented by the Salzburg company SKIDATA, which is one of the pioneers when it comes to the implementation of integrated charging stations in parking garages. SKIDATA is thus assuming significant responsibility for further advancing electromobility.

The EL-MOTION took place for the 13th time and is an important meeting point for industry experts and companies who want to shape the future of electromobility. The award recognizes companies and organizations that are committed to improving urban mobility by developing new perspectives and solutions.

The award for the Elbl car park shows that innovative and sustainable mobility solutions are already a reality in Vienna.
