Federal Minister Atta Tarar met with Hafiz Naeem in Jamaat-e-Islami sit-in – Pakistan

For negotiations with Jamaat-e-Islami, the government delegation reached Murree Road late on Saturday night and invited the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami for talks, which he accepted. The talks between the government and Jamaat-e-Islami will begin on Sunday.

Federal Information Minister Ata Tarar and Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry were included in the government delegation that reached Murree Road to negotiate with the protesters.

On this occasion, in a special conversation with Aaj News, Atta Tarar said that Jamaat-e-Islami had come to invite the Amir for talks, Jamaat-e-Islami has formed a 4-member negotiation team under the leadership of Liaquat Baloch.

He said that the schedule of talks will be fixed in the talks and they will solve the problem by sitting.

Federal Minister of Information met with Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in a pleasant atmosphere, the government delegation requested talks with Amir Jamaat-e-Islami, on which Hafiz Naeem accepted the offer of talks.

The 4-member negotiating committee of Jamaat-e-Islami includes Naib Amir Liaqat Baloch, Secretary General Ameerul Azim, Syed Farast Shah and Nasrullah Randhawa.

Jamaat-e-Islami set a condition for negotiations

Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami spokesperson Qaiser Sharif said that Jamaat-e-Islami has decided not to negotiate with the government.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami will not negotiate with the government until the workers are released.

Qaiser Sharif said that Jamaat-e-Islami Vice Amir Liaquat Baloch has informed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi that he will start the negotiation process only if the workers are released.

The protest has entered its second day. Meanwhile, the roundup of the workers continued. After which Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi made a telephonic contact with Naib Amir Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch.

Meanwhile, Liaquat Baloch put the demands of Jamaat-e-Islami before him and said that fifty percent discount should be given in electricity bills, slab rates should be abolished, capacity payment agreement with IPPs should be terminated and taxes on the salaried class should be abolished. Extortionate burden and hike in petroleum product prices should be withdrawn.
