Three deputies from the Montgomery County Bomb Squad were injured in an explosives drill held Thursday morning at the SCI Phoenix facility.
Two of those affected were reportedly transported to Paoli Hospital for treatment, while one was sent by air ambulance to Penn Presbyterian Hospital.
They have not revealed the health status of any of those affected, but we know that everything had to do with “an explosive that went off unexpectedly,” according to a statement sent by the sheriff’s office.
The SKYFORCE 62 helicopter flew over the area and was able to capture the response of the law and order entities in the area to attend to and contain the situation. A car is seen incinerated in the middle of the green area where they carried out training.
Those affected are veterans of 12 to 14 years in their line of work.
