Fedecámaras proposed to the government that the private sector participate in the solution to the country’s electricity problem

Zulma López/ DLA.- During the installation of the Octogésima General Assembly of the Fedecámaras which took place this Thursday, October 17 in the city of San Cristóbal, Táchira state, the president of the country’s business leadership, Adán Celis, assured that they proposed to the government to participate in the solution of the national electrical issue.

Celis specified that hours before the installation they gave the vice president of the republic, Delcy Rodríguez, who traveled to the state of Táchira to meet with businessmen, a project to find a formula that allows the private sector to participate in the national electrical system.

«We are going to look for confluence, it could be done in the oil sector through the agreement with Chevron, this is a formula in which the private sector and the government agreed, we are going to look for it in this document that we present, give participation to the private sector, both national and transnational in the electrical issue,” he explained.

The representative of Venezuelan businessmen highlighted that the proposal delivered to the government is a very large project that includes the water part, but also the turbo generation part.

He assured that the government has told them that it wants to hear from the business community, that it wants to hear about the transformation processes of countries and people that are not done overnight.

Celis highlighted the visit of the vice president of the republic to whom they also delivered all the needs and problems that the Venezuelan business community has, whose representatives also heard the proposals that the government is making to them.

“A process of dialogue, also a process of negotiation between the parties, the only way for a country to move forward is for its leaders to sit down and talk, nothing is achieved in a country where the leaders are separated and do not talk, that It must be said that two people who have different ideas sit down to talk, it is the desire that the country needs and we are doing it with our differences, we are looking for points of agreement, meeting points,” he stated.

It is important to highlight that the 80th general assembly of Fedecámaras has the participation of 400 businessmen from Venezuela and Colombia and a series of presentations with important Venezuelan panelists are planned for this Friday.
