The weather specialist, Father Elie Khneisser, confirmed that “there is a very high possibility that the weather will change following February 22.”
In an interview with the “Lebanon Debate”, he said: “It will turn to colder and more snowy, and the movement of atmospheric pressure indicates that we will go to this scenario.
He added, “In the next two days, there will be very cold polar masses.”
And regarding the percentage of snow expected in the event of this scenario? He replied: “We cannot talk regarding it until we see the deepening of the polar masses in Lebanon, so that we know the percentage of snow.”
And he believed that “the rate of precipitation in the month of February was very impressive, as we exceeded 400 mm between the Bekaa, the coast and the mountains, and this percentage is equivalent to 50% of an entire winter season.”
Father Elie concluded by saying: “It is possible that the month of February will transfer this deposit to the month of March.”
