“Now we are a big step closer to implementation. It would be a great solution for Innsbruck as a sports city, but also for the sporting region of Tyrol overall,” said the city councilor for sports. Whether and with what sums the city would participate in a swimming pool in the state sports center is open. “Now talks will show that. Also on the question of what the federal government pays if there can be a federal performance center there. You’ll have to look at everything,” says Mayr. Before that, however, the state must decide that the hall will actually be built.

At the Landessportcenter, a 50-meter indoor swimming pool is well situated, said the city councilor for sports. “Because the Olympiaworld and the state sports center bundle a lot of competitive sports opportunities”.
