The FDJ group brings together its two partner clubs, Olympique de Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain, around the “Buts for Elles” operation, making it possible to finance sports associations working to develop the practice of women’s football.
For this new edition, FDJ can count for the first time on the integration of the women’s teams of its two partner clubs, as well as on the support of prestigious ambassadors for each club: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, emblematic OM player, and Cécilia Barontini, CSR general director of the club; Bernard Mendy, former Paris Saint-Germain player, and Ambre Godillon, journalist for PSG TV.
Each goal scored by the women’s team and the men’s team of the two clubs until the end of the season will be converted into financial allocation intended for association projects promoting women’s football. At the end of the championships, the funds will be donated to the eight winning associations of the call for projects launched and managed by Fondaction du Football. The projects selected will aim to promote the practice of women’s football, performance or even the feminization of management and governance.
Fondaction du Football, in partnership with FDJ, has launched a call for projects intended for all amateur clubs in France, for the period from March 1 to 31, 2024, via a dedicated platform. All amateur clubs working in favor of women’s football are invited to submit their application now on the Fondaction du Football website. Next May, a jury made up of representatives from Olympique de Marseille, Paris Saint-Germain, Fondaction du Football and FDJ will designate the winning associations which will share the entire prize money collected thanks to the goals scored by the two clubs professionals.
During the previous edition, during the 2022/2023 season, the operation made it possible to collect 23,000 euros corresponding to the 46 goals scored by the partner clubs of the FDJ group. Since its launch in 2019, the initiative has raised more than 100,000 euros and financed thirty-six projects aimed at promoting the feminization of football.
