The Food and Drug Administration announced that it has withdrawn from the market thousands of Vital Protein products, such as the collagen promoted by Jennifer Aniston and Kourtney Kardashian.
What did the FDA say regarding Vital Protein?
The FDA said it might contain plastic fragments. In its statement, the agency says “59,701 vials of collagen peptides from vital proteins may contain foreign materials,” referring to them as “pieces of a broken blue lid.”
Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Puerto Rico were some of the cities where the product was withdrawn, a withdrawal that began in April.

Despite this, the Friends star continued to promote the product on her Instagram account. Even on May 9, she shared a video preparing a coffee with Vital Proteins. So far it is not known if Aniston was informed of her withdrawal or not and if she decided to end her relationship with the company.
