Hamburg – The first home win in the Bundesliga-Season for the FC St. Pauli should come. At 6:30 p.m. the Hamburg team welcomes 1. FSV Mainz 05. The Kiezkickers recently picked up a point against Leipzig and won at SC Freiburg. The trend is definitely positive.

“Good feeling”

Trainer Alexander Blessin says: “We as a club and us as a team have a good feeling that we had two good games and scored points. But the four points won’t be enough to stay in the league. We have to go a little further in terms of ‘the squirrel has a hard time feeding’.’

“Play without frills”

The coach said about the opponent: “You know how relegation battles work. With the change in the coaching bench, they mobilized all their strength and fought the relegation battle brilliantly. They don’t want to have anything to do with relegation this year and can bring their experience into this season. They play very straightforwardly, it becomes a completely different game. We will probably have a little more time of possession again. Mainz are very clear in their structure of play, they work a lot with second balls that we have to pick up. It will be a very competitive game.”
