It was a big blow at FC Schalke 04 when Thomas Reis was released on Wednesday morning (September 27th) two days before the away game at SC Paderborn. The poor results from the last few weeks were too much for those responsible.

According to a “Bild” report, there are strong allegations once morest Reis. Knäbel’s statements also showed how badly it must have crashed. One sentence in particular made the S04 fans cringe. “In terms of people and content, the situation was deadlocked,” said a visibly annoyed Knäbel at the press conference (DER WESTEN reported).

The support was simply incredible, especially in the second half of the Bundesliga. It’s very rare in all of Europe to have what feels like home games away from home so often,” said the ex-coach. “I felt and appreciated this support for the team at all times,” added Reis. I hope that sooner or later the club will be successful once more and generate more positive headlines – the fans definitely deserve it.”
