Levin Winkler’s first goal helps Lucerne secure a 2-2 draw against Lausanne
FCL fell behind 0-2 early on against Lausanne. However, through determination and a touch of luck, Mario Frick’s team managed to earn a point at home.

The first opportunity came to a Lucerne player wearing a Lausanne jersey. Teddy Okou, not content in his time at FCL and currently on loan to the Vaudois, tested Pascal Loretz with a header in the 2nd minute. Loretz made a confident save. Shortly thereafter, it was Teddy Okou who assisted Alban Ajdini for Lausanne’s opening goal.
Just a minute after Lausanne’s first goal, the crowd roared when Nicky Beloko found the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside. The Lucerne audience applauded referee Lionel Tschudi, who issued a yellow card to Alvyn Sanches for simulation.
The yellow card seemed to spur Lausanne’s striker as he scored from the edge of the penalty area in the 18th minute, netting Lausanne-Sport’s second goal. However, FCL continued to put pressure on, and when Thibault Klidjé was brought down in the box a moment later, referee Lionel Tschudi did not hesitate to award a penalty. Lars Villiger stepped up but was unable to beat Karlo Letica with his rather meek strike.

The situation deteriorated further for FCL as Tyron Owusu exited the pitch due to injury in the 24th minute. Levin Winkler replaced him. The substitution seemed effective. Lars Villiger aggressively contested a ball, and through Thibault Klidjé, the ball was played to Donat Rrudhani, who rounded the Lausanne goalkeeper to score the desired Lucerne goal.
For neutral viewers, the first half of this Saturday evening at Luzerner Allmend provided exciting entertainment, with both teams creating numerous opportunities and demonstrating great effort and tenacity.

At the start of the second half, Mario Frick made another substitution as Lars Villiger was replaced by Adrian Grbic. The game became more intense following the restart; Grbic received a yellow card after a heated exchange with Karim Sow, who was also cautioned.
The indefatigable Alvyn Sanches further impressed Lausanne in the 60th minute when he struck the post with a powerful shot that would have beaten Pascal Loretz.
