The FC Flyeralarm Admira U14 team returned from the top international youth tournament in Madrid yesterday, Monday.
The event took place from September 15th to 18th at the Polideportivo José Caballero and Ciudad Deportiva Valdelasfuentes.
The field of participants included 24 teams, including absolute top clubs such as Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, FC Chelsea and Benfica Lisbon.
Our Panthers finished in a strong 12th place – the best placement ever for an Amdira team!
The game was played in 4 groups with 6 teams each. The Panthers faced Atlético Madrid (ESP), IF Brommapojkarna (SWE), Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), Roskilde Boldklub (DEN) and Olympic Champion in Group B.

The Lower Austrians thus reached third place in the table with eight points and the placement games for places 9 to 12 followed.
After a 0:3 once morest Spartak Trnava (SVK) and a 1:4 once morest Arsenal (ENG), 12th place was perfect.
FC Barcelona became the tournament winner with a 3-0 final win once morest Crossfire Premier (USA).
Coach Roman Krejcirik: “In the defeats once morest Spartak Trnava and Arsenal, we had to acknowledge the physical superiority and speed of some opposing players. However, it should be mentioned that Arsenal also used two U15 players, while we used two very talented U13 players. Overall, our focus was primarily on using all 18 field players and the two goalkeepers in order to be able to assess all players in an international comparison.”
