FC Biel stumbles from the start

The recovery did not smile at FC Bienne. The Zealand Promotion League football team lost 3-0 once morest Stade Nyonnais on Saturday night in their first league game of the season. In front of 547 spectators at the Tissot Arena, the visitors were more realistic than the Biel residents. It is therefore a first to forget for the new Zealand coach Edvaldo Della Casa.

A draft FC Biel

Although voluntary, the FCB struggled to find automatisms and benchmarks. He also found it difficult to stay in control of the ball once morest the willing and athletic Nyonnais. Once in front of the scoreboard, the visitors perfectly squared the field and tried to be efficient in counter-attack. Opposite, although picked cold by the goal of Ivann Strohbach (0-1, 25th), Biel showed interesting sequences, especially following returning from the locker room. But the shots from Fabio Morelli and Adrian Fleury did not deceive the vigilance of the excellent goalkeeper Christophe Guedes, nor did Idriz Bega’s cannon shot which found the Nyon post (52nd). Infuriating. Overall, however, the Seelanders played on alternating current and sometimes abused long balls. They also stumbled on a well-established and aggressive defense.

A stroke of fate… and a sledgehammer

FC Biel was therefore conquering on the return from the locker room. This is where he was the most dangerous… but it was unfortunately an individual error that allowed Stade Nyonnais to double the lead. On a poor control of the Biel defender Evan Stadelmann, Elias Pasche was able to spin to goal and get the best of Nicolas Grivot (0-2, 67th). This goal will finally weigh heavily in the balance, while Gentian Bunjaku’s 3-0 will make the addition even more salty at the end of the match… FC Biel must now digest this difficult introduction and prepare as well as possible for their long trip. in Chiasso next Saturday. /ml
