FC Bayern: It came out at a team night – Joshua Kimmich is vaccinated! – Bundesliga

Recovered & vaccinated!

After his no to the corona vaccination, Joshua Kimmich (27) was in the middle of a heated vaccination discussion for weeks. After the home game once morest Hoffenheim (4-0), the Bayern star confirmed a BILD report on October 23 that he was unvaccinated.

It was only his corona disease at the end of November that put an end to the public fuss regarding his vaccination status.

In December, Kimmich told ZDF that he already had a vaccination appointment for the end of November, but that the syringe had been infected beforehand. Kimmich: “Of course it would have been better to get vaccinated earlier.” His recovered status ended in February.

BILD has now learned: Kimmich has now been vaccinated! After an infection, a syringe is sufficient for the basic immunization.

Even in the FC Bayern team, colleagues were unsure regarding the vaccination status of their colleague for a long time. Only at a team evening on March 2nd in the “Theresa Grill” in Munich’s Theresienstraße did they get certainty. Like all other players who wanted to be there, Kimmich had to show proof of 2G.

Kimmich is currently missing from the national team and is training in Munich because the birth of his third child is imminent. If he travels later, he has to be tested by the DFB despite the vaccination.

National team director Oliver Bierhoff (53) says regarding the DFB precautionary measure: “Even the booster vaccination does not protect once morest infection.”
