Nothing can be changed regarding this decision!
Bayern star Benjamin Pavard (26) is even more in focus following the loss of defensive ace Lucas Hernández (26/cruciate ligament rupture) in Munich – but definitely does NOT want to extend his contract.
The Frenchman has repeatedly emphasized in recent weeks that he is interested in a new challenge in the summer. However, his contract with FC Bayern runs until 2024.
one thing is certain: The German record champions will not let any defenders go at the moment.
According to SPORT BILD information, it is impossible for Pavard to even hold talks regarding an extension!
The right-back is currently in one of the most difficult phases of his career.
At the World Cup, he was eliminated by France’s national coach Didier Deschamps (54) following the first game. Background: He had twice defied the coach’s instruction – not to go over the halfway line.
Pavard is now needed at Bayern, either in the center – which is where he really wants to play – or at the back right.
Pavard switched from VfB Stuttgart to Munich in 2019 for 35 million euros. But his time there now seems to be over for him: he definitely wants to leave following the season!
And the Bavarians? They are already looking for new right-backs and don’t want to take the risk of losing the professional on a free transfer in the summer of 2024…
